KB PA, M Couns. Family Counselling; B (Hons) of Counselling
Nur Ain is a licensed counsellor, registered with the Malaysian Board of Counsellors. She received her master's degree in Family Counselling from the Islamic Science University of Malaysia. Her experience includes working with teenagers, adolescents, families, and couples in counselling. She also has experience working with Community Counselling Centers that focused on helping B40 families with issues ranging from financial difficulties, family conflicts, life adjustments, to marital and relationship issues.
She believes that emotional well-being is just as important to us as breathing. As some people find therapy daunting, she focuses on making that journey as comfortable as possible. She hopes to play a part in helping students and young adults choose to live their lives to the fullest. Her main approach is using person-centered counselling. She is trained in family therapy and applies a structural family approach in her sessions.
Her goal is to help clients engage and enhance their ability for introspection, reflection, and self-awareness, enabling them to better understand and navigate their past, present, and future, and allowing clients to feel empowered to navigate hardships. During her leisure time, she enjoys reading, cooking, spending time outdoors, volunteering and being time with her family.
