Student Leadership & Engagement

Overview
Student Leadership & Engagement provides avenues for students to tap into their full potential via leadership opportunities, creative thinking projects and community service.

Training & Development
We endeavour to assist each student in maximising their potential through student leadership activities, character building training, and club and society management to foster a culture of leadership and teamwork in each student.

Cultural Initiative Programme
We spearhead the Cultural Initiative Programme to create greater understanding among the international community represented on campus. Some of the events we organise include Cultural Nights, Homestay Programmes, exhibitions, and various other cultural-related activities.

Community Service Initiative
The Community Service Initiative is managed by the Sunway Student Volunteers, a group formed to aid the community through various outreach activities. The group’s goal is to impact the lives of others in a positive manner. Volunteers have helped the disadvantaged and marginalised by assisting at retirement homes and orphanages, providing free tuition to refugees, and volunteering at animal cruelty prevention organisations. The Sunway Student Volunteers commit themselves to serve, and welcomes new members.

Clubs & Societies
We have a wide range of clubs and societies to cater to each student’s needs. All clubs and societies are self-governed under the supervision and patronage of Student Leadership & Engagement Unit.
